I'm going to model Becca and make a list of the random things I've been up to lately. But first, answers to your questions!
- Miriam: yes, it is beautiful here. I'm in the process of uploading photos; you all can see them here: http://picasaweb.google.com/alaynair/
- Lynnae: I'm living with a señora; it's just she and I in the house. In my experience so far, the fish is fried, and I've eaten several amazing tapas, but my favorite was fried goat cheese with a tomato spread on top of bread.
I begin the intensive session tomorrow, and real classes begin in about two weeks.
Sevilla is wonderful; everything is really beautiful. I'm a bit tired of walking everywhere, but hopefully soon I will figure out how to rent a bike.
No, you're not asking too many questions. :) - Dad: For breakfast I've had lots of different things: toast with olive oil, tea, cereal, fruit, and yogurt. My señora likes to feed me white toast with olive oil mostly.
And now for a few random things from the past few days:
- I think I will put on several pounds while I'm here: I've eaten fried hake and tortilla de patatas (a quiche-like dish but with potatoes in addition to eggs) three times each, my señora douses everything in olive oil, and there are bread stores everywhere.
- Sevillanos socialize on the street; there are bars everywhere where you can sit, watch the people, drink a tinto/cerveza/café, and I love it. It's wonderful to see people on the street all the time.
- Trip to Itálica today was incredible - it's a Roman ruins outside of Sevilla. It's pretty indescribable, check out my photos here: http://picasaweb.google.com/alaynair/Italica.
Once again, please ask me questions; it's hard to remember everything to talk about!
Alayna, thank you so much for posting the pictures! Its fun to see what you're seeing!
