Yep, that's right; I haven't updated this space in about three weeks. But life has been fairly ordinary lately; I go to class, work on papers, go to Bible study, enjoy meeting interesting people from time to time. Aberdeen is very easy to get along with and sometimes it even feels like home. I keep wondering why I didn't come here earlier!
I'll update you on my life recently through my favorite photo subject: food!

weekly dinner with the Hope girls - breakfast for dinner!

my first attempt at crepes - a bit eggy, but Aftan liked them. :)

my breakfast every day - Scottish porridge with cinnamon, raisins, almonds, and milk

dinner at Carbisdale Castle - so good when I subsist on mostly curry and pasta.

On an impulse I bought an aubergine (eggplant) and then had to cook it somehow. This was the result - some sort of vegetable/pasta salad that was actually pretty good!
The three-week long holiday break began on Friday for everyone and begins this afternoon for me with the arrival of Lauren! After a few days hanging out with her, Mom comes and we're off to explore the Highlands. Then Aftan and I go to London and then Spain with another friend. In short: expect another three-week long absence. :)
Afan would.
ReplyDeleteYum yum yum yum yum.
ReplyDeleteAubergine & is that capsicum in your breakfast for dinner picture? Yummy veggies! :)
Capsicum? I don't think so; it's red and green pepper and onions. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought that since you were using aubergine, you might be using capsicum, too! It's the British word for red and green peppers. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat are you saying Miriam? That I like to eat...a lot? Well, I guess I can't deny it. :)
ReplyDeletelol, no ;)
